We have done some hardcore research on what immunizations we should get beforehand in order to keep a sane piece of mind in some of the countries we are traveling to. Our list is:
1. yellow fever (need this to get into some S. American countries)
2. typhoid
3. hepatitis A
4. polio (although we were all immunized as a baby, we had to get the adult booster)
5. flu shot
After meeting with a “travel nurse” she convinced us kindly not to get the Japanese encephalitis shot ( a two part series, over $500), we were very thankful to not have to get that. We also had to meet with the travel nurse to give us some intense stomach (diarrhea) medicine and malaria pills.

My poor baby!!
after some TLC he is on his way to recovery.
That does NOT look fun!
